Week 30 has been more of a reality check than one might hope for. I feel incredibly blessed this week as I've received the opportunity to join a new 9-5 role after my previous position ended at the close of 2023. This has filled me with excitement and renewed hope as I approach the arrival of the next generation.

The Dad Diary is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

In addition to the professional front, I've engaged in some amazing discussions recently, particularly focusing on stories in business and the insights gleaned from data. Reflecting on these real and challenging conversations during the process of embarking on this new adventure has left me eager to expand on them in my upcoming subscription of my returning monthly newsletter, Medi Dashboards. You can stay updated by subscribing here.

On a more personal note, I've found myself deeply immersed in the realities of organizing a baby shower with my wife and assembling the furniture for our little one on the way. Even without a 9-5, it feels like there's a lot to manage, especially with my partner working from home so noise needs to be at a minimum. I look forward to carving out some dedicated time to tackle the preparations and nurture the relationship with our baby in a very few short weeks.

Reading for the week:

This week, we're diving deep into the heart of why this newsletter began in the first place – the beautiful journey of raising children. Our focus turns to a topic that intertwines ancient wisdom with modern motherhood: 'TALKING TO THE BABY IN THE WOMB - GARBHA VIDYA' by Dr. S. Andal Bhaskar. As we explore the pages of this enlightening book, we'll unravel the age-old practice of communicating with the baby in the womb, a concept known as Garbha Vidya.

This captivating recommendation comes straight from my partner, rooted in her Indian heritage. 'TALKING TO THE BABY IN THE WOMB - GARBHA VIDYA' is deeply tied to her cultural background, providing a unique perspective that goes beyond my familiar American upbringing. While the book delves into Hindu traditions, it has something valuable for everyone, regardless of cultural or religious background.

Though my family's roots may not align with Hinduism, I've found a rich source of knowledge in the scientific aspects woven throughout the text. In these pages, the book transcends cultural boundaries, offering insights that resonate on a universal level.

Engaging in conversation with the baby in the womb is an extraordinary way to connect with the future being within. Numerous studies attest to the profound impact of this practice, demonstrating the powerful bond that forms between parents and their unborn child. While 'TALKING TO THE BABY IN THE WOMB - GARBHA VIDYA' delves into this ancient practice, I encourage everyone, regardless of the specific text you prefer, to explore the vast array of resources available on this topic. The journey of connecting with your baby before birth is a remarkable one, and various perspectives and studies can offer valuable insights into this cherished experience.

This weeks bonus to you:

This week's bonus section brings you a glimpse into another facet of my creative endeavors. Before diving into the world of newsletters, I was immersed in a project aimed at enhancing my video production skills for my job. As part of this journey, I birthed a small YouTube channel named Dos Quotas. The aim was not only to find inspiration but also to refine my skills in creating visual content.

I invite you to explore Dos Quotas and share your thoughts. Your feedback is immensely valuable as I continue to evolve in the realm of visual storytelling. Check it out, and let me know what you think!

Question of the week:

Have you experienced the joy of talking to your baby in the womb? Whether you've embraced this heartwarming practice in the past or are currently exploring the profound connection it fosters, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Parenthood is a remarkable journey filled with unique moments, and engaging with your little one before birth is certainly one of them. Share your experiences, insights, or even your plans for this special connection. Let's build a conversation around the incredible journey of bringing a new life into the world. Your thoughts matter, and I'm excited to hear from you!
