This week kicked off with a bang—literally. It started with a 4 AM Sunday night party, hosted by none other than Jasper. For some reason, the little guy decided he had slept enough and was ready to play. Fortunately, his energy didn’t last long—after about 30 minutes of rolling around and playing, we both crashed for a nap in his room. I try to soak in these moments, knowing they won’t last forever, but I’ll be honest—4 AM is rough.

Beyond the late-night adventures, this week was a busy one for both my partner and me. Work was intense, especially with forecasting deadlines adding some extra stress. Not exactly fun, but we got it done. Balancing career growth alongside family life isn’t always smooth, but we’re making progress on both fronts. Jasper’s mom had it even tougher this week, dealing with a long, traffic-filled commute to the office. There are times I miss the change of scenery an office provides, and I know I could do better about getting out more—but sitting in traffic? No thanks.

Meetings didn’t stop at work this week. We also had our first HOA meeting since moving in December. While it was interesting to finally meet some neighbors and get a sense of what’s happening in the community, sitting through yet another meeting after a full workday was a challenge.

That late-night play session with Jasper made me realize I need to work on my sleep routine—so I’ve started making some changes to align with my 2025 goals. This year, I’m prioritizing tracking and overall health now that we’re settled from the move. I want to make sure I’m in the best shape possible to keep up with Jasper in the years ahead. What about you? What does your morning routine look like? Reply or comment and let me know!

And now, the final countdown begins—just two weeks until the big one! I can’t believe my little guy is officially in his birthday month. March is a big one for our family, with Jasper’s birthday coming up and even our dog turning 10! Time is flying.
