Convertibles, Check-Ups & Celebration Goals 🚗🎉🙏
A Wild Week: Work Wins, Toddler Triumphs & Temple Routines
Hey friends,
This past week felt like a highlight reel of everything life throws at once—and somehow, we made it through with smiles, surprises, and a few new milestones.
📈
Fiscal Fireworks at Work
June wrapped up the fiscal month at my 9-5, and what an ending it was.
We set the bar high—and the team crushed it. Exceeded our targets, hit the big goals, and created a real reason to celebrate. Sure, that meant a busy weekend of follow-up for me, but with results like that, it’s the good kind of busy. Major props to the team for making the impossible possible. 🙌

15-Month Check-Up & Puppy Grooming Chaos
Saturday had “classic parenting energy” written all over it. Jasper had his 15-month check-up and passed with flying colors. Just two vaccines this time—and the little guy took them like a champ.
Meanwhile, his furry brother Link also got a much-needed haircut. Summer had him roasting, and now he’s looking like a cool, clean pup again.

The Accidental Convertible Era
We’re now in week two of “Car in the Shop.”
Finally caved and got a loaner—and guess what they handed us? A convertible. While it’s not exactly my vibe, I will admit: warm weather, windows down, and a quick joyride with Jasper’s grandma (Nani/Boss)? That was a moment. She spent the ride praying… I guess that sums up how confident she was in my driving 😅.
🕌
Temple Time & Language Immersion
Sunday was a special return to the Gurdwara. We’re trying to make this a consistent weekly habit.
Jasper had the time of his life playing with other kids—so much so he crashed in the car ride home. And for me? I hit day 16 of my Punjabi learning streak. Slowly but surely, things are starting to click. The immersion is working. Still a long road ahead, but I’m grateful for the progress.

2025 Goals Check-In
I didn’t set a ton of goals this year—parenting and unpredictability make “flexible ambition” the name of the game. But here’s where I’m at:
Fitness: I’m staying active, though not as intensely as I hoped. A full Indian diet has been a shift, especially in terms of sugar intake. Starting July 1, I’ll be doing a detox to reset and refocus.
Punjabi + Spiritual Practice: Language study, writing, and engaging more with scripture have grounded me. I feel good about the rhythm and want to keep building on this.
So that’s the week. A little loud. A little lovely. And full of real-life growth.
If your week had a theme, what would it be? Growth? Gratitude? Chaos in a convertible?
Drop me a reply or comment—I’d love to hear what’s going on in your world too.
Until next time,
David
