Back in the Gym, Learning, and Building for the Future

Finally back in the gym, getting movement back into the routine! But that doesn’t mean we skip rest- mental health is just as important as physical health. When life gets hectic, taking a step back to relax the mind is crucial. This past Wednesday was exactly that for me-a much-needed reset after a whirlwind few weeks.

On Thursday, I joined a webinar on improving conversation skills. Sometimes, the best way to grow is by picking up just one or two quick tips from a free webinar and putting them into action. Small tweaks can make a big difference.

Lately, I’ve been feeling a strong pull toward building something again-business ideas are flowing, and the desire to give back to my community keeps growing. I truly hope to bring value to my little corner of the world and share that journey with all of you.

A Special Valentine’s Day and a Little Pup’s Recovery

Jasper made his mom’s Valentine’s Day extra special this year, gifting her pink flowers. At just 11 months old, he’s already showing his love in the sweetest ways on one of her many well-deserved days of appreciation.

Friday was also about taking care of our furry family. Link, our small pug mix, went under anesthesia for a teeth cleaning and the removal of a benign mass. Thankfully, he’s recovering well and back to his usual self.

Weekend Snow, Family Time, and a Great Read

With snow returning on Saturday, we had lunch with grandpa while he cared for his dog, Duncan, who’s recovering from major surgery. We had hoped to enjoy the ice festival, but the snow quickly turned to rain-so lunch together became the highlight instead.

As I write this on Sunday, the snow is falling again, and we’re getting ready to take grandma to temple before mom heads out of town this week. Fingers crossed for some clearer skies ahead!

On a brighter note, the bookshelf has been updated with a fantastic new read: Main Street Millionaire: How to Make Extraordinary Wealth Buying Ordinary Businesses by Codie Sanchez. If you’re interested in business and M&A, I highly recommend checking it out!
