Jasper’s first birthday party is coming up next week, and the prep has been intense. From bakery runs to restaurant pickups, decorations, and games for the little ones, there’s been no shortage of things to get done. We’ve got new backdrops, balloons, and all the finishing touches to make it special. Mom has truly gone all out, making these past 51 weeks feel like a whirlwind. Throw in all the dietary restrictions, and it’s enough to make anyone crumble!
On top of that, work has been nonstop for both of us. My partner has been heading into the office more than usual this past week due to Employee Appreciation Week at her company, which has put a bit more on her mom’s plate. Meanwhile, I haven’t exactly had it easy either.
One bright spot in the chaos? We were lucky to attend the Cleveland Monsters ice hockey game on Friday for International Women’s Day. I’m beyond grateful to be surrounded by strong women, and I encourage all women out there to live the life you want—because no one else can determine that for you. My partner is a symbol of this strength for me, and I was honored to celebrate with her.
My morning routine is really coming full circle. I’ve been feeling more accomplished, and it’s showing in both my personal and professional wins this past week. My main goal this week? Stay on track despite the time change—I will not let it throw me off!
Recently, I shared a note about the LA Paul podcast with Tim Ferriss. As part of my morning routine, I’ve been prioritizing meditation and learning, and I finally got through the entire episode. Her take on philosophy was fascinating—not my usual Stoic lens, but a modern interpretation that challenges how we think about life’s big decisions. I’m excited to explore this perspective further and see if it shifts my own views.
Would love to hear your thoughts—have you listened to the episode? What’s your take on her philosophy?
