Toddler Tantrums, Growth Spurts & Gurdwara Sundays
A Week of Progress, Parenthood & Punjabi Practice
Hey friends,
What a whirlwind of a week! Between work, study, and toddler surprises, there’s a lot to reflect on and even more to celebrate.
💼
Work Wins & Growth Mindset
This week was hectic—but in the best kind of way. While my to-do list had some untouched corners (don’t we all?), I wrapped the week with a surprising feeling: contentment. Progress showed up in big and small ways—solid wins at work, a few extra pages in the journal, and 8 consecutive days of Punjabi study (🎉 yes, 8!). Even got in some Salesforce study time too. The growth track feels steady and motivating. Here’s to keeping that momentum going.

Jasper at 15 Months: New Tricks & Toddler Trials
Jasper has officially entered the “toddler” phase at 15 months—and let’s just say, he’s not easing into it.
This week he surprised us with a brand-new skill: tantrums. What started as a bath-time protest has now evolved into full toddler drama. It’s cute, funny, and completely exhausting. We’re in deep.
Luckily, Papa is back in the States and Jasper is soaking up that time with him. Having an extra set of hands has never felt more essential.
🏡
Balancing Work, Parenting & Closed Schools
With Juneteenth this past week, Jasper only had one day of school—and both my partner and I had to work. It reminded us of the importance of backup care and teamwork. If my partner hadn’t prepped to have extra help lined up, we’d probably have burned vacation days just to stay afloat.
Parenting is a tag-team sport—and we’re grateful to have the support.

This Weekend: A Party & A Prayer
Big changes are ahead this weekend for our little man:
Saturday brings a birthday celebration for a friend’s daughter—Jasper’s first real “toddler party tour” moment with friends from our old neighborhood.
On Sunday, we return to the Gurdwara. I’m aiming to make this a more regular part of Jasper’s life. The language, the community, and the peaceful routine will help him (and Papa) feel more connected over time.
Gratitude. Growth. Grace (and maybe a few tantrums). That’s what this week brought.
How was your week? Did you get something done that wasn’t on your to-do list? Or maybe your little one surprised you too?
Let me know—I love hearing how others are navigating all this too.
Until next time,
David
