The past couple of weeks have been challenging, with work nights stretching until midnight. I even rang in my 38th birthday right at the stroke of midnight! Not exactly how I imagined starting the year of my life. Still, I made meaningful progress and pushed through, which I’m proud of.

The trade-off, however, was steep. Waking up early the next morning after those long hours left me drained. Worse, I missed valuable time with my son over the past two weeks. That’s a tough pill to swallow because I know these moments with him are fleeting. No excuses! This is on me to manage better. Some travel may be out of my control, but my schedule absolutely isn’t. I need to do better for him and for our family.

On top of this, my partner has started going into the office once a week as she prepares for her first nights away on business trips since our son was born. Next week will be an adjustment for all of us, with just me and Grandma holding down the fort while Mom’s on the road. It’ll be an interesting test of our teamwork and routines.

As for my 2025 goals, work got in the way, and I fell behind. But last Saturday, I got back on track, and that small victory felt incredible. Setbacks happen but what defines us is how we respond. The plan is simple: dust off, keep moving, and push forward with renewed focus.
