Our First Zoo Trip with a 23-Month-Old and the Premier League Season Begins
Happy Premier League opening weekend to all my fellow football fans in the UK! I've got my Manchester City jersey on, cheering for a fifth title and hopefully another Champions League trophy. I tuned into the PSG game on Friday for Ligue 1, but it just doesn’t feel the same without Mbappe, now that he's at Real Madrid.
Well, enough about the world of football—let's talk about the little guy! This week has been full of working on his rolling skills and plenty of tummy time as we inch closer to the half-year, 6-month mark.
We had a milestone moment that I know we'll cherish, even if Jasper won’t remember it just yet. This past Saturday marked his very first trip to the zoo.
It was a bit hot when we left the park around 1 PM, so most of the animals had gone in by then. Thankfully, we arrived around 11 AM and were able to see some of the zoo's highlights—elephants, lions, and even a few owls. We also got to experience the Chinese Lantern Festival, which made for some unique and memorable pictures with our little boy. It was awesome to have his Aunt Lori and Indian grandma join us for the trip. Even the pizza we had for an early lunch hit the spot!
I firmly believe everyone had a great time, and we're already excited to plan our next visit. Of course, that might have to wait until after we replace the microwave that decided to die on us!
