This week has been a whirlwind of emotions and milestones for our family. One of the biggest highlights was my partner’s return to work after her maternity leave. What makes this even more special is that she’s not just going back to the same old routine! She’s stepping into an exciting new role at her company. During her pregnancy, she took a bold step, pushing herself to apply for and interview for a new position. Now, all that hard work is paying off, and she’s returning to work with a fresh opportunity that promises new challenges and growth. I’m incredibly proud of her for balancing the demands of motherhood and career, and I’m thrilled to see her succeed in this new chapter.

Adding to the joy of the week, we celebrated a family milestone, our first birthday party at Grandma’s house for great aunt Lori. The day was filled with love, laughter, and of course, a lot of attention on our little one. As soon as we arrived, it was clear that he would be the center of attention, and Grandma couldn’t have been happier. Watching her beam with pride and joy as she doted on him was heartwarming. She loved every moment of showing off her grandchild to the family, and it made the celebration even more special.

Even though it was Lori’s birthday, she was more than happy to share the spotlight. The house was filled with delicious food, mouthwatering desserts, and the sounds of family enjoying each other’s company. It was a perfect reminder of the importance of family gatherings and the joy that comes from these shared moments. Grandma’s house was buzzing with love and warmth, and it was clear that everyone, especially Grandma, cherished the opportunity to spend time together and celebrate.

As we all settle into these new roles, my partner in her new job and us as parents balancing work and family life, we’re looking forward to what the future holds. The past week has been filled with growth, both personally and professionally, and it’s exciting to see how these changes will shape our journey in the weeks to come.
