This week has been an incredibly busy one for my partner and me as we push toward the end of 2024. In big news, I officially booked my first work trip since Jasper was born—definitely a milestone moment for me. On top of that, my partner has been juggling meetings at all hours, and we’re both still working to settle into the rhythm of life in our new home.

This past weekend was our first full weekend in the new house since closing the chapter on our last one, and the feeling of thankfulness has been overwhelming. If you’d told us on January 1, 2024, where we’d be now, we wouldn’t have believed it. We knew we’d have a baby—who turned out to be our sweet Jasper—and we were so lucky to celebrate that with both my parents and my in-laws. But never in our wildest dreams did we imagine 2024 would end with promotions and a new home. These blessings are not lost on us, and we are endlessly grateful.

In honor of Jasper’s 9-month milestone, we celebrated with productivity. We organized the garage and shed, tackled a good chunk of basement cleaning (though there’s still work to do), and hung the last few pictures to make the house feel like home. Of course, with my partner’s eye for design, this is just the beginning—there are plenty of creative ideas still to come.

And finally, I can’t end the week without taking a moment to celebrate our 9-month-old. Every day, I’m in awe of this baby boy, his joy, curiosity, and resilience. I still can’t believe we get to be his parents, his guides, and his biggest cheerleaders. Here’s to more milestones, memories, and moments that remind us just how lucky we are.
