Entering Week 35 brought a wave of unique changes as my partner gracefully navigates the closing chapters of pregnancy. Each day unveils more signs, from the gentle dryness of her skin to occasional itching—a common pregnancy occurrence. While these are typical, it's always wise to discuss any changes with the OBGYN, as hormones play a transformative role in the intricate dance of pregnancy.

Week 35 also brought us back under the captivating glow of the ultrasound, conducting the third-trimester checkup for our little one. Gratefully, our baby sits comfortably in the 50th percentile in size—just the right balance. The joy of this journey intensifies as we savor each step, eagerly ushering in the arrival of this new life into our world.

Reading for the week:

Continuing our exploration of the enchanting 'Reading in the Womb' series, this week's literary companion is the heartfelt 'Love You Forever' by Robert Munsch (Author) and Sheila McGraw (Illustrator). Dive into this touching narrative as we add another chapter to our collection of stories for our little one on the way.

This book holds a unique place in my heart, not only for its profound impact on kids, reassuring them of unwavering love and support, but also for the resonance it carries for adults. 'Love You Forever' beautifully encapsulates the timeless sentiment that 'you will always be my child,' vividly painted through its touching illustrations. Personally, I found myself swept away by a wave of emotions, reminiscing about my own mother. I sense my partner shared similar sentiments. I wholeheartedly recommend immersing yourself in this poignant tale and eagerly look forward to sharing it with my little one—whenever the time comes, it will be a cherished exploration together.

Bonus for you:

This week's bonus is a sneak peek into what lies ahead. As we transition from the story of pregnancy to welcoming a new soul to the earth, I've delved into a book recommended by one of our insightful readers. Without giving away too much, I must admit that this book has sparked reflections on parenting like never before. The anticipation is palpable—I'm eager to share this transformative read with you. It's been a bit of a slow journey through the book, not due to its length, but because every ten pages provoke deep contemplation. My thoughts are weaving into the fabric of how I envision raising my child and shaping our family. Stay tuned for more revelations on this thought-provoking adventure!

Questions of the week:

What are you reading? How is it influencing you? What books do you like to read?
