Happy New Year:

Wishing you a Year of Radiance and Renewal! As we bid farewell to the old and welcome the new, may 2024 be a canvas of joy, success, and countless adventures. Let's embark on this journey together, filled with possibilities and the promise of brighter tomorrows. Happy New Year, dear readers!

2024 beginnings:

Welcome to the onset of the third trimester, a period that typically marks a gentle slowdown for expectant partners. It's an exciting phase, as our little one is currently experiencing peak growth, even beginning to blink. With just over 80 days until the due date, the anticipation for the arrival of the next generation is building.

In our journey, we've been using the Babylist app/website to monitor the baby's development. One standout feature is its ability to consolidate registries from multiple stores into a single location. This not only streamlines the process but also helps minimize the chances of receiving duplicate items. Additionally, the app/website sends informative emails, drawing comparisons to everyday objects to provide a tangible sense of the baby's size.

The Dad Diary is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

This week, our bundle of joy measures up to a Kit-Cat Klock, standing at 14.8 inches or 37.592 cm. It's incredible to witness these weekly transformations, and we're eagerly counting down the days until we can hold our little one in our arms.

My partner this week has embraced the inevitable "nesting" phase—a common phenomenon among expectant parents. It's fascinating how the body's natural preparation instinct kicks in, urging my partner to dive into a whirlwind of cleaning and organizing.

This heightened sense of readiness is a gentle reminder that there's a ticking clock, prompting us to tackle preparations before the later stages when taking it easy becomes a necessity. It's a beautiful dance of anticipation and practicality, as we strive to create a cozy and organized space for the little one.

The nesting instinct is truly a remarkable journey, aligning with the body's wisdom as we gear up for the exciting phases that lie ahead. It's inspiring to witness my partner's dedication to ensuring everything is in perfect order for the arrival of our bundle of joy.

Reading for the week:

This week's reading takes a departure from the usual baby-centric material and dives into the realm of business and entrepreneurship. For those plugged into the online scene, the name Alex Hormozi and his ventures, particularly Acquisition.com, have likely made waves. Acquisition.com is a platform designed to aid founders in scaling their businesses.

While my own experience with startups and online endeavors hasn't reached such grand scales, I'm a firm believer in learning from the best in the field. That's what led me to delve into the first book of Alex Hormozi's series, "$100M Offers." The insights and expertise shared in the book offer valuable lessons, providing a unique perspective on business growth and success.

Within the pages of this book, Alex Hormozi explores the art of growth through the power of compelling offers, going beyond mere transactions and delivering more than what people initially seek. It resonates deeply with my philosophy in crafting this newsletter and other online works – the desire to provide readers with more than they expect.

The strategies outlined in this book are not only about enriching the experience for others but also maintaining a sustainable path for oneself. It's a delicate balance of giving generously while ensuring there's enough on the table. As I navigate the landscape of content creation and entrepreneurship, I find inspiration in these principles.

For anyone aspiring to tread the entrepreneurial path, I highly recommend diving into the insights presented in this book. It's not just a guide for business growth; it's a blueprint for creating value and fostering a community that goes beyond expectations.

My 2024 bonus to you:

As we delve into discussions about business in this newsletter, it's worth noting that this isn't my inaugural venture into the realm of writing. I've previously penned an article on the Beehiiv platform, exploring the use of data for sales. While my current focus isn't actively on writing for this newsletter, those past experiments continue to hold value and relevance today.

The Beehiiv article allowed me to test and refine ideas, laying the groundwork for insights that stand the test of time. If you're curious or seeking additional perspectives, I invite you to check out the few pieces. It's a testament to the enduring nature of concepts explored in the ever-evolving landscape of business and data utilization.

I appreciate your interest, and I hope you find value in the exploration of ideas that have endured the test of time.
